Situated in Palm Beach County, it has some of the most beautiful beaches and best weather the USA has to offer, and is an appealing area for both business and residential settlements. Tropical lifestyle

Boca Raton has a tropical rainforest climate, meaning you will experience a warm and sunny climate throughout most of the year. On average, Boca Raton gets 230 days of sunshine each year. There are two miles of beach along the eastern coast of Boca Raton, with a further 23 miles of beach stretching south through Fort Lauderdale.

You will easily find lots of things to do in Boca Raton. After your studies, head to the beach with friends to relax on the sandy shores, swim or try an exciting new sport. There are also many high quality shopping areas in Boca Raton, like Mizner Park or the Town Center Mall, the largest indoor mall in Palm Beach County.

Many large global businesses are headquartered in Boca Raton, making the city a financial hub for international businesses. Take in a concert at Mizner Park Amphitheater, learn about the local environment at the Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex or view world-renowned artists at the Boca Museum of Art.

Getting around in Boca Raton

With the great Floridian weather you will always want to spend a lot of time outside. Lynn’s pedestrian-friendly campus makes it easy to relax outdoors, and get to class on time. Boca Raton offers a network of public transportation that will help you get to where you need to go.

Across the Lynn University campus you will find bicycles which can be rented for free. Visit the Campus Communication Center to reserve a bike for use.

The Palm Tran Bus is the local bus service. Students can pay a discounted, $1.00 fare by showing the driver a valid student ID. Lynn University is located on Route 3 and Route 2. On these routes, students can access the Town Center Mall, West Palm Beach, and everything in-between. Come prepared with your student ID, and cash to pay your fare.

The South Florida Commuter Train runs seven days a week every 40 minutes, making multiple stops between West Palm Beach and Miami airport. Fares are based on distance traveled. Lynn students are eligible for a 50% discount with a valid student ID. The Tri-Rail is a great option for easy transportation to and from the airport.

The UhaulCarShare service allows students with a valid driver’s license to reserve a car by the hour or the day. You can access the platform using your mobile device, and rent from a selection of cars located on campus. Renting a car is a great way to experience more of Florida, or just run a few errands.

Explore southern Florida

Using the bus, Tri-Rail, or even a rental car, you can quickly visit many of cities close to Boca Raton and the Lynn campus. The city of Fort Lauderdale is 25 minutes away by car where you can find upscale shopping and dining, or head to the beach to try kayaking and standup paddleboarding. Visit exciting Miami for a concert, art, or to experience Cuban culture in Little Havana.

For a remarkable day out in nature, plan a visit to Everglades National Park. The third largest national park in the lower 48 states, the everglades cover 1.5 million acres of land. There are guided tours by boat and tram which are a great way to safely experience this unique natural region.

Discover the USA

From the Lynn University campus you can easily access three international airports; Palm Beach International Airport, Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport which is the closest to campus.

Direct flights are available from each of these airports to popular destinations across the USA. Some shorter trips include flights to New Orleans and Atlanta. With a connecting flight in Atlanta, you can travel further to almost anywhere in the USA, including Chicago, Washington D.C., Los Angeles and New York.
